High Pressure Propane Cast Burners and Pipe Burners

GasHosesandRegulators.com sells high quality cast iron propane burners. Each one of our cast burners, pipe burners (sometimes called stick burners or tube burners), and jet burners are bench tested and optimized for high gas efficiency. Outdoor cookers normally use high pressure burners because they give much higher heat output than low pressure burners.

LOW PRESSURE burners and two part cast burners require either natural gas or a low pressure propane gas regulator if your fuel source is directly from a propane tank bottle. Propane supplied in a trailer home or RV normally has the propane gas already adjusted to a very low pressure at the propane source. LOW PRESSURE propane regulators are PRESET at 6 ounces. LOW PRESSURE burners often give a little more heat than that of a gas stove top burner in your kitchen. We manufacture many that give much higher btu/hr.

Natural gas pressure in most areas is set at 10 W.C. (water column inches) or less and requires only a on/off adjustable valve to attenuate the flame height. We also sell custom pipe burners. We ship everywhere in the world... and the shipping is free to the 48 contiguous US states.

A $50.00 charge is applied for custom length reductions (modifications) of stocked pipe burners.

If a 67" pipe burner is needed, for example, you should purchase a 68" stocked unit (with or without a grease shield) and we will shorten the pipe and weld a 1/8" thick round steel plate on the end. Length reductions come from the flame section of the pipe and not the "throat" region near the venturi.

Select a CVO250 for a Pipe Burner. For a Cast Iron Burner the correct CVO can be selected from the drop down menu of the burner.

What is a Control Valve Orifice?

The CVO250 needle control valve with integral orifice will allow one to fine control the level of the burner flames right at the venturi as opposed to controlling the flame height at the more remote location like at the propane tank regulator or the natural gas source.

A control valve orifice fitting will work on practically any burner if the orifice is drilled to the proper size and you know the size of the gas burner inlet thread (1/8" or 1/4" NPT). The default orifice size is #61 and it can be drilled larger for low pressure propane or natural gas.

Specify your fuel preference of natural gas, low pressure propane, or high pressure propane in the Comments section of the shopping cart.

GasHosesandRegulators will drill it (no extra charge) to the proper orifice size for your particular fuel.
